Does anyone play? I'm thinking of getting into it but I'm just intimidated by the price and having to paint miniatures (I've never done anything like this before). Any advice for a newbie?

I've built some WW2 Airfix models before, but never heard of Flames of War.

I indeed have a GERMAN collection for FLAMES OF WAR....its good fun ( do some reading and if u can get some 1 local to you to give you a game or two to get a good idea of it )
I'd say look at the nations special rules before you just pick a nation! the painting is totally optional! ( but it DOES make them look cooler! ) building the tanks is the funnest part as is almost always SO simple....( not the schurzen on german tanks tho its a C_NT )
